Dipl.-Angl. Carsten HummelCarsten Hummel studied British and American Studies, Economics, and Spanish at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg and Montana State University, Bozeman, U.S.A. His diploma thesis was published under the title of Political Marketing in the Information Age (Wittenberg: ZUSAS, 1999). Prior to joining the Center in 2004, Mr. Hummel held several management and marketing positions at new media companies and coordinated a campus-wide e-learning project at the Magdeburg University of Applied Sciences. Carsten Hummel currently works on his dissertation project, which focuses on the history of the European Association for American Studies (EAAS). He also serves as assistant editor of the American Studies Journal.
